Dealing with the media can be one of the most daunting experiences for any councillor – newly elected or more experienced.

Well first of all I think it’s important to keep a perspective, news one day, chip paper the next. If things do go wrong their are thinks you can do. Think about asking for a right of reply, perhaps a follow up article or a letter to be published. You can always ask for an apology.
